How To: Survive the Cold Weather

It's still fall, but the weather is colder than usual this year! Cold weather can mean dry, chapped, flaky skin! Not fun.
Here's a few tips to prevent these skin issues and how to stay warm! :)

First off: You'll need to dress warm of course!
Make it cute with boots, scarves, and hats

LOVE these boots and all the colors!

I love this scarf it's soo cute! That's Jaden Hair from steamykitchen.com, she knitted that herself!

Protect your skin

I use thick lotions that moisturize better such as Eucerin

Also, this is what I mentioned in the video. Avon Moisture Therapy..AMAZING product for a great deal....just visit avon.com they have a whole collection!

I use winter face moisturizer and Magix Face Perfector with SPF 20 both from Avon!

Lips

When in doubt, use Carmex. Life saver.
Another plus: this certain type of Carmex prevents cold sores, which are a pain in the butt!!
But in case you get a cold sore...here's what I use:

Clears that baby up in about 4 to 5 days! ONLY use it on the actual cold sore..NOT your entire lips, it will dry them out! I learned that the hard way.

My Favorite:

Chamomile and Spearmint Tea! I buy Private Selections brand from Kroger! DELICIOUS!

Keep warm & watch the video below for more products! :)

What's in your emergency beauty bag??

Hey all! Leila here again! Majority of us carry around purses, but you can't just have the basics..you need a little bag for women "emergencies."
Here is what I carry in mine:
  • Band-Aids: Hello Kitty to be exact :)
  • Nail Files: In case my nail breaks throughout the day
  • Q-tips: why? I don't know..I'll probably take them out of there!
  • Visine eye drops: I have contacts and that causes dry or red eyes! Not cool.
  • Tampons and panty liners: DUH! Always necessary..even if you are not on your period.
  • Bobby pins: To pin back hair!
  • Chapstick: A must have ALWAYS for me!
  • Mirror: Just a tiny one to check my teeth/make-up throughout the day.
  • Cottonelle Wipes: It's good to be extra clean "down there"
  • ELF Zit Zapper: Sometimes I feel like applying this to my zits, haven't used it enough to say if it's good or bad, anyone have anything to say??
  • ELF Blotting Sheets: I don't tend to get too oily..but just in case
  • Mini/Sample Perfume: I love smelling good!
  • Concealer Stick: may need to cover something up!
